Privacy Policy

What we keep, where it goes, and why

The short version: your crew runs on a server in your business's name and works with your own information. We keep only what it takes to sign you in and to look after your crew, and we never sell any of it. Questions go to [email protected].

Who we are

PerchStack is a product of Wrong Aspect LLC, Utah, United States. We set up and run AI crews for service businesses, and we make the PerchStack app for iPhone, iPad and Mac. In this policy, "we" means PerchStack and Wrong Aspect LLC.

We are a small remote team, working from the Bogotá area, Colombia.

For anything about your privacy, write to [email protected]. Our postal address is on the Support page.

Two kinds of information

Your account: what it takes to sign you in to PerchStack. We decide how this is used, and this policy says how.

Your business's information: the jobs, customers, invoices, email, calls and messages your crew works with. It belongs to your business. We handle it for your business, on its instructions, only to run your crew and to support you.

Your account

Our sign-in service keeps:

  • Your name and your email
  • Your password, in a scrambled form we cannot read back
  • Which companies you can open, and which agents you can talk to
  • Your answer to the AI question in the app, and when you gave it
  • Your sessions, so you stay signed in. Each lasts up to 90 days and ends when you sign out.
  • Failed sign-in attempts, with the internet address they came from, for 15 minutes, to stop people guessing passwords

Its error logs can include your email and the address of the request, such as which mailbox you opened or what you searched for. They are kept for at most 7 days.

It also keeps your company's settings: its name and color, its agents, and the keys it uses to reach your crew.

The sign-in service runs on Cloudflare. It sets no cookies.

The app on your phone

The PerchStack app keeps these on your device:

  • Your sign-in, in the device's secure Keychain
  • Your recent text conversations with your agents, up to 200 messages each, protected by the device
  • Your projects, your pinned docs and your settings
  • The last Today screen for each company, so the app opens at once. It holds your crew's tasks and drafts, which can include customer names and job details.
  • Crash and slowdown reports from Apple, kept on the device. The app never sends them to us. If you share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may pass crash reports to us.

Signing out removes your sign-in, your conversations, your projects and the kept Today screens from the device. Deleting the app removes everything else.

The microphone is used only during a call with an agent. Your voice streams live to your crew and is not recorded by the app.

Notifications are made on your device. We do not keep a notification token.

The app has no ads, no tracking and no analytics. It talks only to our sign-in service and to your own crew.

Your crew and your business information

Your crew runs on a server in your business's name, at a hosting company in the United States. On that server it keeps:

  • Its conversations with you and your team
  • Its memory: what it has learned about your business and how you like things done
  • Its tasks, with your comments and approvals
  • Your docs, and short logs of what it did
  • The keys to the tools you connect

With your permission, your crew connects to the tools your business uses, such as Jobber, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft 365 or Google, and your phone service. It reads what it needs to do its work, such as requests, quotes, jobs, invoices, payments, email, calls and texts, and writes what you have it do, such as notes, drafts and replies.

If your crew uses team chat rooms, those run on Buzz, a service hosted by Block.

The AI your crew uses

Your crew answers with AI from OpenAI and Anthropic, through accounts set up for your business. When you talk or write to an agent, what you say is sent to them, along with the business information the agent looks up to answer. Messages, emails and call summaries that reach your crew are sent to them too, so the crew can sort and draft.

In the app, nothing you say is sent to them until you allow it. Reading Today and approving drafts work without it, and you can change your answer in Settings at any time.

Each provider handles what it receives under its own terms for business customers.

What we can see

To set up your crew and keep it running, we can sign in to your crew's server, and copies of its reports and its alerts reach us on Telegram. We look at your business's information only to set up, fix and support your crew.

We keep our own notes about your business and your crew, from our calls and our work, in our private files.

Information from Google

When your crew connects to Google services, such as Google Business Profile or Gmail, PerchStack's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In plain words: we use it only for the features you asked for, we never sell it or use it for ads, no person reads it unless you ask us to, for security, or because the law requires it, and it is never used to train AI models.

Information from QuickBooks

When your crew connects to QuickBooks Online, it reads your invoices, payments, customers and reports to answer your questions and to draft your work. We do this for your business, under our Terms of Service. We do not process your data on Intuit's behalf.

Your QuickBooks information goes only to your crew's server and to the AI providers above, to answer you. We never sell it.

Who helps us

These companies help us run PerchStack. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Cloudflare hosts this website and our sign-in service, connects the app to your crew, and runs Turnstile, the spam check on our contact form.
  • Postmark delivers what you send through our contact form to our inbox, and your copy to you.
  • Your server's hosting company keeps your crew's server running.
  • OpenAI and Anthropic provide the AI.
  • Microsoft 365 runs our email, so what you write to us is kept in our inbox there.
  • Telegram carries your crew's alerts to us.
  • 1Password keeps the keys to your crew safe.
  • Stripe handles payments. We never see your full card number.
  • Apple delivers the app and its updates.

We never sell your information

We never sell your information, and we never share it for advertising.

The contact form

Our contact form asks for what you need help with, your name, your email, your business name, what kind of business you run, whether you use Jobber, and what you need, in your own words. Your phone number and how you heard about us are optional.

The form keeps nothing on this website. It sends your answers by email to our inbox, and sends you a copy of what happens next.

Before it sends, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are a person; we share your internet address with it for that check.

We use your answers to reply to you and to talk about your business. Your message stays in our inbox as a business record until you ask us to delete it.

This website

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Its fonts come from the site itself, and nothing follows you to other websites. The contact page also loads Cloudflare Turnstile, the spam check, from Cloudflare.

Like any website host, Cloudflare receives your internet address and the page you asked for, so it can send you the page.

How long we keep it

  • Your account: until you delete it, or your company asks us to remove you.
  • Sessions: up to 90 days. Failed sign-in attempts: 15 minutes. Error logs: at most 7 days.
  • Your crew's information: on your server, for as long as your business keeps it.
  • What you write to us: in our inbox, as a business record, until you ask us to delete it.
  • Billing records: as long as the law requires.

How we keep it safe

  • Every connection between the app, our sign-in service and your crew is encrypted.
  • Passwords are at least 12 characters, and we keep only a scrambled form.
  • Requests to your crew are signed, so only our sign-in service can make them.
  • Your crew's server takes sign-ins by key only, and its keys are kept in 1Password.

Your choices

To see, correct or delete your information, write to [email protected].

To stop your words going to the AI providers, change your answer to the AI question in Settings.

To delete your account, use Settings in the app or see Delete your account.

Your business's information belongs to your business: the owner can ask us to remove any of it.

Children

PerchStack is for businesses and the adults who work in them. It is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

When what we keep or where it goes changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
